The Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University is steeped in local history. Guides can explain when, why and how the Pennsylvania Germans came to this region and their cultural contributions to the state and America. A farmstead with stone house, a bank barn along with two log cabins, and a one-room school are part of the site. A historical, cultural and genealogical library is on site also. Call in advance for tours.
